Crestview Country Club Wedding

December 29, 2007

A helping hand is something we all could use from time to time.

This is exactly what I had the pleasure and opportunity to do.

My friend Alice who is also a professional photographer asked me to give her a helping hand (as a 2nd photographer) for this very nice couple, Cami & Kenny who got married at the Crestview Counrty Club in Agawam, Ma. I accepted (with pleasure) and we had a great time photographing this couple's Winter themed wedding.

Even though it was cold outside, the bride wanted to have some photos taken outside in the snow.

With the right location, the right lighting and the right couple, Winter weddings can be beautiful! These are just a few of the many photos that I took of this lovely couple. There were many more great ones taken by Alice from her own angle and her own perspective. You see,
the great thing about having two photographers at your wedding is that each of us have a unique vision of what photo we want to get and even though we are at the same place, photographing the same couple, at the same time, the results are different because we each incorporate our own style of photography into our work.
Alice & I worked very intuitively together and that made everything turn out right. We had a natural flow throughout the day, as if we had been working together for years. It was great!

Well, this was the last wedding of 2007 that I photographed and I just can't wait to begin the 2008 wedding season!

I have a lot of new ideas, new sources for inspiration and new skills that I can't wait to apply to this years photography.

In the meantime, I'll be brushing up on my skills, taking some new classes and keeping track of what's new in photography and technology.

To the Bride & Groom: Cami and Kenny, I want to wish you the very best! May you always find love in each others eyes, just as your photos show you did on your wedding day.

Alice, thanks very much for asking me to give you a hand. It was lots of fun and I would be delighted to work with you again in '08!

Thank you all for visiting my blog!

How Fast They Grow!

Happy New Year!

Last year was a very good year for me and I want to thank all of my previous clients once more for the opportunities. I hope this year is as much fun or even more so than last and I hope to see some previous clients as well as the new ones.

During what I call my "sort of slow" period, when I'm not very busy with photography, I like to reflect on the previous year, think about what I can change for the better and do some comparisons between last years photography and years prior. One of the things I noticed while doing this comparison is just how fast a child grows and changes in just one year.

The first two photo above are of my daughter Caitlin on December 2007. The other one is just one year before and WOW! Look how much she has changed in just one year. It amazes me! They grow up so fast!
She is such a great baby (Thank God). I can photograph her all day every day and I won't tire! She's a very good subject too and when Daddy picks up his camera, she lights right up with little or no coaxing. That's my girl! She's a natural.
One day, I will hand down my "empire" to her and she will take over the viewfinder. Of course, as soon as she is ready I'm gonna teach her all about photography and in no time at all she'll surpass me. She is extremely smart, just like her Mom.

Well, at least that's how I view her future. Let's see if it actually happens like that. :-)

Not much more to share with you all right now, but I wanted to show off the latest photos of my daughter.

Next up, I'll be sharing some Winter wedding photos that I took on December 29th.
